The National Union of Students on mental health suggests there are more than 10 students who said they had experienced suicidal thoughts. This number is out of 1,200 surveyed across the UK.

The study also found a range of negative feelings that most students feel. Eighty percent feel stressed, 55 percent feel anxious, 50 percent have insomnia or sleeping problems and 40 percent feel worthlessness and hopeless.

The main reasons for the suicidal thoughts on students include worries about exams and grades, emotional problems with family and friends, and pressures over money. The remaining percentage includes more specific reasons such as homesickness, bullying, insensitivity of lecturer, and alcohol and drug problems.

Paul Farmer, head of mental health charity Mind, said the survey revealed the extent of the problem students’ face. It also revealed that only a few of them seek for help, he added.

The Illinois Senate has voted to approve the Marijuana Bill, pertaining to the use of marijuana for medicinal purposes. If the bill is signed into law, Illinois will be marked as the second-most-populous state in America (after California) to permit legal use of the drug for strictly medical reasons.

After an hour-long debate, the proposed law was passed 35-21 last Friday, May 17, 2013. The bill has now been moved to Governor Pat Quinn’s office for his signature. Gov. Quinn previously stated that he is supportive of the bill, mainly for the reason of benefiting injured veterans.

According to Dan Riffle, deputy director of government relations for the Washington-based Marijuana Policy Project, they are expecting Gov. Quinn to sign the bill.

However, Senator Bill Haine believes this bill is currently the toughest medical marijuana bill in the nation. Republicans who voted against the bill stated that legalizing marijuana may lead to abuse of other illegal substances. Additionally, there were others against the bill because they were not persuaded enough that the positive effects of medical marijuana would prevail over its potentially negative effects.

At present, eighteen states and the District of Columbia have already legalized the use of medical marijuana.

Fortunately, Samsung thought of a gigabyte-per-second download speed that could attract consumers.

For example, who would not want the ability to download the seasons of Game of Thrones in a few seconds? Samsung, one of the leading mobile companies in the world, is currently working hard to build a super fast “5G” antenna that could make file transfers as fast as the speed of lightning.

What is 5G? This built-in antenna can transfer data up to 1.056 gb/s using a 28 GHz spectrum band. In short, it is a hundred times faster than the current 4G network.
